The County Government is obligated to Implement Specific National Government Policies on natural resources and environmental conservation which include soil, water conservation and forestry. The county government is also supposed to ensure and coordinate the participation of communities at the grassroots levels.
The county assemblies are mandated to play a role in Natural Resource Management and develop relevant policies to ensure sustainable exploitation, utilization, management, and conservation of the environment and resources.
