Kisii county is county number 045 in the Kenya county codes. It shares common borders with Nyamira County to the North East, Narok County to the South and Homabay and Migori Counties to the West. It has a population of 1,266,860 as per 2019 census. The County is organized into 9 constituencies OR sub-counties namely:

The county was first governed by His Excellency Governor Evans James Omariba Ongwae who has led the county for the last two election periods. Under his leadership the Governor has achieved a lot in different departments, and faced many challenges to bring the county where it is at the moment.
