Uasin Gishu County is county number 027 in the county codes. It is found in the Rift valley region. The county borders Trans Nzoia County to the north, Elgeyo Marakwet and Baringo counties to the east, Kericho County to the south, Nandi County to the south, south-west and Kakamega County to the west. It covers an area of 2,955 km² and has a population of 1,163,186 according to 2019 census. The county is divided into six counties namely;
